No surprises in Giovanni Trapattoni’s team selection for the Euro’s but one man who is out of the squad is James McCarthy on compassionate grounds. The Ireland and Wigan star requested to be excluded from the squad to be with his father who was recently diagnosed with cancer. Joining Dave on the YBIG Football Show this week were two Derry men. Ryan Kelly, contributor for Goal.com and Sports News Ireland and Daniel Collins, football writer and contributor to the YBIG Fanzine. Dave also caught up with Willie Gannon, football writer and podcaster with Back Page Football. Young Irish footballer Barry Maguire has hit form for his club VVV-Venlo in the Dutch league. Despite the teams poor run of results, Barry, 22, continues to impress. Barry joins us on the show this week and gives us an insight into what it's like to play in the top league in Holland. He also talks about his aspirations to one day wear the green jersey of Ireland.
